Hyojeong Offering Papers are special wish cards that have been given to members on the foundation of True Parents’ victory.

True Parents expressed deep concern for the blessed families who were having difficult problems, and gave us the grace of the wish papers so that the way for ancestor liberation and ancestor blessing could be opened. True Parents gave us wish papers so that we can live spiritually and physically healthy lives, resolve spiritual problems, and advance to the next stage of our lives with more ease.

Wish papers can:

1. Accelerate the removing of evil spirits – Members who fill out wish papers can remove more evil spirits during chanyang sessions. If you compare the chanyang sessions to laundry, wish papers act like detergent, making the stains (evil spirits and fallen nature) come off with greater ease.

2. Supplement our lacking in devotion – It is very difficult to offer devotion while being completely focused. If you are thinking about food while fasting, or doze off during prayer conditions and HDH, it is not a proper offering to Heaven. Writing wish papers makes the foundation of our devotion more firm.

3. Convey our prayers to Heavenly Parent – When we offer wish papers, the content is conveyed directly to Heavenly Parent, and based on this, the absolute good spirits work to solve the spiritual problems connected to your wish. Also, now that we are in the era of True Parents’ direct dominion and automatic works, Heavenly Parent also works directly with each member personally.

4. Suppress the activities of evil spirits – When a wish paper is offered, the activities of the evil spirits are temporarily suppressed, until the spirits can be completely liberated through the chanyang sessions. The more wish papers are offered, the more the spirits can be suppressed, and the easier it is to remove them during chanyang sessions.

6. Solve the most urgent problems first – If there is a problem that is more serious and needs to be solved before what you wrote on the wish paper, Heaven works to solve it first.

7. Support us in witnessing activities – Wish papers help us in tribal messiahship through mobilizing the spirit world. Wish papers can be offered by anyone, even non-members, and they can play a big role in witnessing activities. In Japan for example, wish paper are part of the witnessing culture, and new members experience many miracles through the wish papers, helping them to understand the works of the Heavenly Parent and the greatness of True Parents.

What is the Hyojeong Offering Ceremony for the Inheritance of Heavenly Fortune. The Hyojeong Offering Ceremony for the Inheritance of Heavenly Fortune is a ceremony in which all the Hyojeong Offering Papers presented by the members in Jeongshim Won prayer hall during the past year are offered to Heaven. Before the year 2016, this ceremony was called Prayer-wish Purification Ceremony for Restoration and the Hyojeong Offering Papers were burnt in a holy fire during the ceremony, but following True Mother’s instructions, now the Hyojeong Offering Papers are made out of a special water-soluble paper, and they are dissolved in water during the ceremony. In the HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center, this ceremony is held only once a year during the Spring Hyojeong CheonBo Great Works for the Inheritance of Heavenly Fortune. The Hyojeong Offering Ceremony for the Inheritance of Heavenly Fortune are also held in Japan and other countries of the world, when there are the HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center tours.

The biggest grace members can receive from this ceremony is having the traces and memories of sins of their blessed ancestors expunged.

To receive the grace of this ceremony, you must:

1. Participate in the offering ceremony in person

2. Offer at least one wish paper – This wish paper can be one which was written in the past year, as long as it was offered after the offering ceremony conducted the year before, and will be offered in the ceremony you will be currently participating. The content of the wish paper does not have to be “I wish the traces and memories of my ancestors’ sins expunged.” It can be anything.

* It is not possible to receive the grace of the offering ceremony if you cannot participate. The only exception is if your spouse or child over 18 years old is participating in the Offering Ceremony, and he/she registers for the Spring Hyojeong CheonBo Great Works for the Inheritance of Heavenly Fortune for you even if you are not present (registration fee $25), and at the same time offers a wish paper in the name of the spouse/parent who could not come.

When you are in the HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center

1. Get a blank wish paper and donation envelope from the international office window or Korean office window.

2. Fill out the wish paper, and together with the donation, offer them in Jeongshim Won Prayer Hall The wish paper goes on the wish paper tray, and the donation into the donation box, both under True Parents’ picture.

* It is recommended to write the wish papers in the prayer hall as well. The content can be as short or as long as you wish, but please know the wish papers will work in the way that is most necessary for you at that moment.

When you are not in the HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center

It is possible to offer wish papers even if you cannot come to Cheongpyeong yourself. You can ask someone who is coming to Cheongpyeong to offer them on your behalf, or you can send the donation together with the content of the wish to the training center, and Cheongpyeong staff will offer the wish paper on your behalf.

The way to send the donation and the content of the wish is the same as the way to apply for ancestor liberation and blessing from abroad. Please see 4. and 5. of How to apply for liberation and blessing

When you are not offering the wish papers in person, we ask you shorten the content as much as possible, and send it in English. It is said that it is not necessary to write the content on the wish paper in detail because the spirit world knows already what the best way it should work is. It becomes very difficult when we have many members from all over the world asking us to write wish papers on their behalf and the content is very long or in a language we cannot understand. For the wish papers to be offered without delay, please make the content short (about 10-20 words that will wrap up the main point of your wish), and when you pray and offer devotion about it, please do so in detail.
